Today was a truly excellent day for a ride. Our route followed dedicated cycling trails, taking us around Oklahoma City by skipping from one lake and river to the next. We took an irresistible break when we spotted hammocks swaying in the headwind breeze. We found a park nearby, complete with free athletic equipment and games. We kicked soccer balls and threw footballs with abandon. In our minds, we were youthful athletes, showing off our skill and amazing onlookers. The reality, however, was a bit different: we were stumbling, dizzy automatons, taking countless micro-steps to chase down errant balls and reeling when we bent to pick them up. I definitely prefer the fantasy version.

Amy, the reporter from Tulsa, arranged to have a colleague film and interview us for an extension of her story.  We spend an hour giving interviews and shooting B Roll for future news stories.  This includes us playing Corn Hole, racing up and down the bike path and riding a Ferris Wheel.  I can’t imagine how this will be of use, but it is fun to do.

At the end of the day we have the triumphant return of Joyce to the team.  We were incomplete without her.
