Dixie Overland Highway, McGuire and Yes, we had a great Thanksgiving!

Well, this is finally happening, it was a beautiful day yesterday and while I was out on my training walk, I received some exciting news which I will share later.

Tybee Lighthouse

I was able to check out the Pier and walk part of the start…

Tybee Pier

We will be kicking things off tomorrow morning at 7:30 AM and we have our most agressive day on day 1!

Thanks Sam’s Club Savannah for the Temporary Membership!

Loading up on everything from Bananas, peanut butter, nutrition bars, water, etc, the Sam’s team was a bit reluctant to allow me to check out with so much, but after sharing my story, they went out of their way to help!

A few fun bottles to accompany the Turkey

Taming the Turkey

While we had a lovely ham, but I couldn’t help myself and picked up a turkey and grilled it!

Great Thanksgiving with the Family!

Excited to Introduce our driver, fellow Team Fox family member and ++ adventurous spirited, McGuire!  we have a lot in common, with his connection to Parkinson’s, climbing (He also climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro too), his love of sailing and his pure love of adventure, very happy to have him on board.

Thanks to all who have supported us to date, the adventure begins in a few hours, excited to start down the path of the highway 80 and the Dixie Overland Highway, how apropos is that sign?  We’ll see you out there on the road….
